What is Barbecue Rub?

Barbecue Rub is a blend of spices used to rub on meat, poultry, fish and vegetables whether barbecuing outside in the nice weather or inside when it's not. It adds flavour to your meats and veg for extra seasoning. Rubs are for low heat barbecuing and smoking, not for grilling.
