What is Steak Seasoning?

You can use to season meat in several ways, as a dry marinade for beef, lamb and veal, it goes really well with steak, simply give your chosen meat a generous coating of this seasoning and leave to marinade for 1 hour, or overnight in the fridge if possible, to allow the flavours to permeate the meat. Or mix with oil and make a liquid marinade to soak your meat in. Add to sausages, burgers, and cottage pie bases for extra flavour. Add as a seasoning to stews and casseroles, it can also be added to your dumpling mix to make delicious savoury dumplings to accompany a stew, add to savoury crumble toppings, pies, and breadcrumb coatings for meat, and also to gravies and stocks for additional flavour.

Where does Steak Seasoning Come From?

Originated in Montreal. The blend was influenced by the pickling spices of Eastern European.
